TWIN

A 39 inches wide by 75 inches long twin mattress is perfect for children and single adults. It’s great for people with small living spaces like studio apartments. The twin is the smallest mattress available.

TWIN XL

The twin XL is the twin’s big brother. It’s the most popular size for college dorm rooms. Being five inches longer than the twin it brings it in at 39 inches wide and 80 inches long. The twin XL is a great solution for taller teenagers, college students and people with limited space.

FULL

The full is a great starter mattress for recent grads and young adults living on their own for the first time. The full mattress is 54 inches wide and 75 inches long. It’s called a double once in a while but the full is 16 inches wider than a twin. It’s not recommended for couples who like to share the bed with pets or their children. The full is also a smart choice for guest rooms.

QUEEN

The queen is the most popular mattress size around. It fits best in a master bedroom that’s at least 10 x 10 square feet. The queen offers plenty of space for couples or individuals who like having extra room to move around in bed. It measures in at 60 inches wide and 80 inches long.

KING

The king mattress is large enough to accommodate couples who share the bed with their children or a sizable pet (think: a great dane). Owning a king requires a large master bedroom, preferably at least 12 x 10 square feet as it is 76 inches wide and 80 inches long. If you have an adjustable or split king bed, you can order two twin XL mattresses for your frame.

CALIFORNIA KING

The California king is the longest mattress on the available. It’s a huge 72 inches wide and 84 inches long and Its generous length makes it ideal for taller individuals.People taller than six feet tall really appreciate CA kings. People of average height also benefit from a California king depending on how many people and pets are sharing the bed. If you’re deciding between a king or California king, it is a difference of four inches. A king mattress is actually four inches wider than a California king and a California king is four inches longer than a king.
